A Note From the Producer:

Fledgling Scenarios came into being because of several really bad scenario games that I went to. 

 

I have been playing paintball just over a year when I bought a copy of Action Pursuit Games Magazine at Shaggy Brothers Paintball, where I bought my first paintball equipment.  I read about St. Valentines Day Massacre in Ocala, FL and Oklahoma D-Day, and I made it a point to go play a scenario game.  That was in early 1998, and I looked up several scenario paintball games.  It was an instant addiction, and in a way, I was lucky.  I started out playing games put o by quality producers, MXS, Chuck Stoner up at Skirmish, and Oklahoma D-Day.

So after several years of good scenario games, I started running into lower quality scenario games.  They were cheaper and often poorly run and the worst made me determined to bring some quality scenario to an area that had no real scenario.

Fledgling has now done several games, and it has been a learning curve.  I know now why quality scenario is scarce, it is expensive to do it right, many details need to be worked out behind the scenes, and the norm is to lose more money than you make.

The last is what is driving the quality scenario producers out of paintball, and competition with lesser quality games are hurting scenario.  The lower quality games are leaving a bad reputation for scenario in player's minds that have never played quality scenario.

Fledgling is going to continue to produce a few scenarios a year.  Mainly in Colorado, but we are open to possibilities of doing games in Kansas and Oklahoma.  We WILL NOT schedule across from any of the producers we are friends with, and will not play politics among field owners.  We are here to have fun, and to bring a good game for you to play.  We want you to go away from one of our games knowing what a great scenario game is, and setting the bar high enough to force the lesser quality games to up their standards.
